Jealousy is a major thing that takes over peoples lives all over the world. In the story "A Wreath from the Woods of Carolina" they is a friendship between two girls that everyone is jealous of. The two girls have a friendship like no other and when one becomes sick the other pays for medical attention. The author of this story is trying to show that jealousy is an evil thing and it can take over someone life, no matter how old or young they are.
The story that I am about to tell show how a child handled a situation the wrong way and it got her in trouble.
There once was a girl named Haley. She was ten years old and she had a twin sister named Sally. On their fist day of school at their new school in Pennsylvania Sally automatically became friends with all the girls in their class. However Haley had trouble making friends and so she was alone. For the next month Haley didn't talk to anyone and she grew jealous of her sister and all of the friends she had made. But, Haley didn't go and tell anyone about how she felt she just kept all of her feelings inside. The months ticked by and Haley still had no friends. Her jealousy grew larger and larger inside of her, but she still kept her feelings inside. Whenever her and her sister would go home their parents would ask them how school was and she wouldn't tell them how she really felt. One day it was about the middle of the year and Haley had had enough. When they got home from school one day Haley started to scream at her sister. Sally had no clue what was going on so she tried to calm her sister down. Haley grew angrier and angrier until she pushed her sister to the ground and ran to her room. Sally went and told their parents what had hap end and how she had no clue what was join on. Their parents went up to Haley's room and found her crying on her bed. They sat down and had a long talk with her. After a while they called Sally up to the room so Haley could apologize for what she did. Haley was grounded for two weeks because of the way she acted. The next day when they went to school Sally brought Haley with her to meet all of her friends. Haley became best friends with all of them and she was finally happy. Sally was glad that her sister was happy and now they both love each other unconditionally.
The way that Haley handled the situation was the wrong was to handle any situation. You should never keep your feeling locked up inside of you because eventually you will blow your top. Haley was too shy to go up to someone by herself and become friend with them. Before the situation got worse Haley should have told her parents how she felt and they probably would have told Sally to introduce Haley to her friends. All in all jealousy is an evil thing that can ruin your life and you should never keep your emotions inside. Haley has been happy ever since and knows never to be jealous of anything or anyone.
